The History Guide - Resources for Historians - Must see site for budding historians, a complete list of web sources for all periods. A wonderful labyrinth of information and websites. Could take you days to come out! Tyburn Gallows - a bit "horrible histories"! For the goulish amongst you. I particularly liked the "Dying Speeches" Page. Ouch! Internet Medieval SourceBook - Heavy weight site, best suited to teens considering project work in this area. The Victorian Web - complete online list of resources for those studying the Victorian Era. Do History - interesting site that allows you to piece together moments in history from fragments that have survived. Kids can work independently, but also useful as a teaching resource. Active History - although it has some sample content this is a paid subscriber site. Great stuff though from virtual interviews, online simulations, educational arcade games, worksheets & lesson plans and revision quizzes. |
